National Medical Transcriptionist Week has traditionally been a week-long celebration of the contributions healthcare documentation specialists make toward ensuring complete and accurate patient health records. We are not alone in this! There are many healthcare professionals who contribute to the integrity of the medical record, so our celebration will now more aptly be titled Healthcare Documentation Integrity Week.

No matter what part of the world we live in, healthcare documentation specialists play an integral role inthe healthcare system. While we may not actively participate in a patient’s encounter, we are the silent partners behind the scenes ensuring the quality and integrity of that patient’s record. In essence, we partner with the care team to provide the best patient experience and therefore the best outcomes possible.
We hope you’ll join us for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (HDI) Week May 19-25, 2024, as we unite all those involved in improving healthcare documentation for people AND animals all over the world.
