AHDI Virtual Conference FAQs
Q. When is the virtual conference?
A. The virtual conference will be held over 3 days from August 7-9, 2024.
Q. What will the price be for the virtual conference?
A. Pricing information will be announced at a later date; please check back.
Q. Can I register for a single day or single session?
A. Single days or single sessions are not available a la carte; however, your full registration gives you access to all sessions during the live event on August 7-9, 2024, as well as on-demand access for 3 months immediately following.
Q. How do I attend a virtual conference?
A. Enjoy the conference from any computer (PC or Mac), tablet, or smartphone using a link provided by AHDI. Click here for more information on minimum specs needed to view. We recommend the latest version of Google Chrome as your Internet browser for the best viewing experience.
Q. Will I need a webcam to participate in the educational sessions?
A. A webcam is not required for attendees. You will be able to see our speakers and presenters who will be using webcams.
Q. Will I need a webcam to participate in the social activities?
A. A webcam is not required but rather is optional for certain social activities. Social activities in which the audience will have the option to interact via webcam will be noted on the schedule.
Q. What if I can’t make one of the live sessions?
A. All sessions will be recorded and available to you for 3 months immediately following the event to view on-demand.
Q. What if I have technical difficulty?
A. Please see our technical FAQs here. Live phone and email help desk support will be available throughout the conference in case you run into any technical issues.
Q. How many continuing education credits will be available?
A. Typically, 12-13 CECs are offered each year. Certificates will be available to download, print, or email within 24 hours of the completion of each session and remain available to access in your account at any time.
Q. How long is each session?
A. Each session will last approximately 60 minutes.
Q. Will I be able to ask the speakers and presenters questions?
A. Absolutely! During the live event, you will be able to post questions and/or comments to the speakers, presenters, and attendees who have joined the session. Everyone joining live will be able to view and interact. This feature will not be available on the recording if viewing on-demand so do your best to join us live!
Q. Will I be able to meet and interact with other attendees during the virtual conference?
A. Absolutely! Once registered, you’ll be able to communicate via the conference forum as well as via chat within each session. You will also see and meet new people during the social activities scheduled at the end of each day.
Q. What are the social activities?
A. The social activities are live events held at the end of each day. Details for each will be listed on the schedule as details are available, and we will make announcements along the way. You won’t want to miss them as they will include fun activities and prizes!
Q. Can I participate with a group of friends?
A. You are welcome to view the conference with a group, but we ask that each participant have their own registration. A participant of the group may contact AHDI with an attendance list for the CECs to be marked on the individual accounts.
Q. I’m afraid I’ll miss the fun of not being face-to-face. What can I expect?
A. We will still be coming to you live for our Integrity Awards Ceremony, AHDI leadership updates, and scheduled social activities! We’re re-inventing fun!
Q. Will there be sponsors and exhibitors participating in the virtual conference?
A. Yes, we couldn’t make this possible without the support of our sponsors who are displayed before, during and after the event. You will also find our exhibitors on our website and on the Virtual Exhibitors tab within the platform. You will hear from them in-between sessions, with an option to connect with them further if you wish. If you or someone you know may be interested, please have them contact us at ahdi@ahdionline.org.
